Speaking of compliments, next time Pat does a seminar for you, have him explain what a director means when he says "good" to the talent during a recording session.
Good = wow, that was awful.
The talent's in the booth, just gave their best effort on the read and it's lousy. The complete opposite of what the director was going for. So the director says "Good! Now, let's try it this way..."
