i just got an email from R&R that said that they still want indicator stations to send in there spins which will be used with mediabase and billboard... this was huge news for us smaller market stations
I made it into Street Talk in '97 during our Love In An Elevator Promotion. People had sex live on the air to win b-stage passes to Aerosmith and I had to do pxp. Still don't think I recovered from the 2nd couple. (I'll spare the details) RIP R&R.

The long term effects of the Telecom Act of 96 and media consolidation...thank you NAB.
National Association of People with a wallet that want you in their back pocket and don't really care about broadcasting.
One more thing to tell your grandchildren about how radio was "different" when you were their age.

Sucks...I've enjoyed R&R...I remember as a PD...back when we had control...We couldn't live with out R&R...I guess it's all about change...
