VOICEOVER COACH NANCY WOLFSON MOCKS RADIO PEOPLE

Look, I admit it: Nancy Wolfson is an incredible voiceover coach.

That's why I've invited her to return to conduct another Super Session at this year's International Radio Creative & Production Summit.

But you'd think she'd give us radio folks just a little more respect....

Very cool! Although I highly recommend the use of a shotgun mic to get the audio a little more clearly next time!!

Our Problem is:
We in radio allowed people like her to come in and take over the very thing WE,should have kept total control of.

When I worked in Atlanta.
I tried out for the voice of TNT.
I found people there that had never been in radio and I found producers, directors, pulling down high 6 figures, that had never voiced one single thing in their life. Telling me how to do it.

I was told I sounded to much like radio.

So I took off the headphones and tried again in a delivery that sounded so weak and wimpy.

Yes, You guessed it,they liked it.

I ended up doing a few things for TNT in the 90's. Always without headphones.
